Man, it has been a LONG time since I've been on DeviantArt, and even longer since I've updated my work. For that, I apologize. Things have been really busy with classes considering this is my last semester and I have a full short film I have to animate in a few months...

I will try to make time to put up some newer stuff, though! I know I have a tendency to say that... and then not do it. But this time will be different! Probably. Maybe.

Wow, so I realized I hadn't updated my journal since before my last semester started. And it's been even longer than that since I updated my work.

And that's what compelled me to make this journal. I'll try to get some more recent art work up on my page, as everything there is really quite old. In my defense I have been quite busy. Last semester was a terror, but that's all in the past. Except the dreams. They won't be going away anytime soon...

Ahem... anyway, I would like to wish everyone reading this, and even those who aren't, a very merry Christmas. And in case I don't get around to it, a happy New Year as well.

Well, tomorrow I start up my last year of college. I know I've been absent from Deviant for a while, but I think I'm going to have to be absent a while longer. This last year, this first semester specifically, promises to be full of work. I've got six classes, three of which are writing classes with papers to write, one class on a Saturday (all day), and one class is my senior studio, which involves basically creating a short animated film from idea phase to finished product and will likely be the single most important project I walk out of the school with. So no pressure or anything.

I'll try to upload it when I'm finished but I don't know if I'll be able to or not. I'll be animating it in Flash, but it likely won't be a Flash file in the end.

I'll try to keep this journal updated on my progress if I remember or have time.

Just got two of mine pulled. I didn't have them put me completely under either (I know there would have been a Youtube video of me jabbering like an idiot), so I got to watch as they drilled, stabbed and tore at my face. I didn't feel anything, and I remember watching what they were doing and thinking I was very glad I was numbed up.

So now I'm here with a gauze pad in the back of my mouth that needs to be changed every 30 minutes, and a very very sore jaw.

I also can't eat crunchy foods and can only chew on one side of my mouth. Plus, I'm not suppose to be doing much physical activity. So no real change there.

In other news, as I pointed out in my Gastly Pencil Test, I have built an animation table of sorts. And by built I mean I glued pegs to a ruler and taped it to a drafting table. Once I'm done being in pain, I want to use it to get some good work done this summer. Probably a lot of pencil tests and such. We'll see.

Is over. Well, just about anyway. My work is done, at least. The main point I need to focus on this summer is working on my style. I still haven't fully developed a style that's unique to me, and I think I need to go a little simpler, which is what the instructors thought, too. This summer can't be just me sleeping and playing video games (Though there will still be a good amount of both of those). I'm really going to focus up and get a lot of work done this summer, and hopefully mash out a lot of things that can go on in my portfolio.
